Mother's Day Brunch
Hosting a Mother’s Day Brunch this year? If not you should!! Treat the special Moms in your life to an afternoon where they are the guest. You can use these ideas, and the FREE Printable Party Package (located at the bottom of this post) to help make it an unforgettable brunch!  You can also head to the Mother’s Day Gift Post to check out some great gifts featured in this post along with the FREE Downloads to create them yourself.  I am mildly in love with black and white stripes as I admit often! When you mix in pops of color and flowers ….. MY HEART SKIPS A BEAT!

Photography – Heather Carpenter Photography

I pulled my daughter’s dresser out of her room to use for the dessert table! You can use any piece of furniture in your home, your kitchen counter, or a plastic folding table with a linen! I chose all White Serving Platters and Cake Stands so the food would really pop! I purchased my Milk Glass cake stands from Amazon. They are a little pricey, but GREAT quality and worth the investment if you host gatherings or parties.

MONEY SAVING TIP – Find white cake stands and serving ware at your local TJmaxx, Marshalls, or Homegoods as well.

I absolutely LOVE Naked Cakes! They are easy to make, or you can commission your local cake gal like I did! I added gorgeous fresh flowers from my local florist Poppy Lane Designs.

MONEY SAVING TIP – Pick up flowers from your local grocery store.

The STUNNING Cookies were created by my friend Mary from Sugar Coma Cookies (YES she ships)!! Cookies are a must for your Mother’s Day Brunch.

MONEY SAVING TIP – Pick up some store bought iced cookies from your local grocery store bakery like Walmart.

You have NEVER tasted a Mini Donut quite like these before! Green Mountain Mini Baked has been featured on the Today Show for her fabulous Mini Donuts. You NEED to order some of these amazing Donuts.

EASY Mother’s Day Brunch Food Idea – My super fab Hubby made these Mini Pancake Bites! He used standard pancake batter and poured 1 inch circles. Then stack 4 high and use a tooth pick. I found the Tissue Flower Picks at Pier 1 Imports. Instead you can use standard tooth picks and our Pritnable Rectangle Flags available below.

Yogurt Parfaits are EASY and DELICIOUS! Use Vanilla Greek Yogurt, Granola Mix, and Fresh Fruit! Then top with our Printable Party Logos!

The Large Sequin Table Linen by Candy Crush Events is simply SMASHING! You can drape a table linen over your seating table. You can also use a dining room table, outdoor patio table, or choose to have no designated seating table so guest can mingle. The Pillows are part of the Product Post with FREE Downloads to create your own on the Tiny Prints website.

The Floral Arrangements by Poppy Lane Designs are my favorite part of the entire Mother’s Day Brunch! Every Mom took home one of the mini Mason Jar Arrangements.

MONEY SAVING TIP – Floral arrangements can get very expensive. To save money you can go to your local grocery store and create your own using Mason Jars!

Chalk Paint Look Mason Jar DIY

  • Sand the glass of the mason jar with a light grit sand paper.
  • Spray paint with white spray paint primer and let dry (the primer gives a chalk look with 1/2 of the cost).
  • Sand over the primer with a medium grit sand paper in the areas you want to look vintage.
  • Attach the Printable Thank You Tags (available below) to the mason jars using twine.

Place Setting DIY

  • Use the Printable Placemat available in the Printables at the bottom to anchor your place setting.
  • Layer a Set of White Dishes so your other colors will pop.
  • Add a gorgeous napkin on top of the dinner plate and under the dessert/salad plate. This gorgeous custom napkin was create by Great Stitch.
  • You can choose to use real or plastic silverware. (You could also use plastic or paper plates instead of real dishes if you want the option to just trash everything instead of wash.)
  • I had little custom gifts for each mom on their place setting. I created the gifts using the FREE downloads and Tiny Prints Products.

      May 6, 2016 at 10:14 pm

Hello!!! It was a print I made. BUT they have fabric in those same thick stripes at JoAnns and other fabric stores! I used a large white foam board from the craft store and duct tape the fabric or paper to the board. Then I used that same duct tape to attach it to the back of the dresser and two dowel rods to make it sturdy. LOTS of duct tape hahaha! If you have a wall to use the better option is to just tape the paper or fabric to the wall.

Thanks so much, Kara!! I am definitely gonna have to get some duct tape!! Hahaha it is the best! You did a great job!

Hello, where can I purchase the stripe back drop?

    1. Kara Woolery

      April 22, 2017 at 10:29 pm

Hello!! It is actually not for sale, but a better option is to use striped fabric. It is a lot cheaper than the print out that size. Or paint a foam board with stripes!
