Safari Baby Shower

Hosting a baby shower for the mom to be can be a lot of work! In this blog post I will give you tips and tricks along with pirntables and a shopping guide for helping you host the perfect Safari Baby Shower for a sweet baby boy. You can get the Safari Baby shower printable downloads at the bottom of this post. I also offer a pink version. The best part of a baby shower is definitely the sweet treats … unless you are a huge game fan; then the games are pretty fun too!

Create an easy backdrop by hanging fabric directly from the wall, or using hot glue to attach it to large foam boards as I did here. You can make the It’s a Boy Banner using the printable banner that comes in the package. I cut the pieces out with a circle cutter and then attached to burlap circles. To create the burlap circles you can cut strips of burlap and fan them together in a circle hot gluing down the pleats on a cardboard circle as you fan. You can cut a table runner in half and use coming down instead of across the center of a table.

On the Safari Baby Shower invitation the guest were asked to please bring a book  to help start Jagger’s new library. I love the idea of bringing a book instead of a card.

Baby boy diaper cake for a safari baby shower
This diaper cake was one of my favorite things to make for this boy baby shower. There are many ways to make a diaper cake. The easiest way is to start with one diaper and roll it up; then place a very stretchy rubber band around the diaper. Continue rolling diapers and sticking them in to the rubber band as you go until you get each tier to the size you are wanting. Last pull out your glue dots and start to decorate, and be sure to use the Safari Printable Package to adorn the diaper cake.

It is a good idea to have empty favor boxes, because there are usually plenty of sweets leftover for guest to take home!

As the guest arrive hand out three mini clothes pin clips to each guest, and explain the rules of the baby shower name game. They can not say whatever three words you designate throughout the shower, and if they do then another guest can ask for one of their pins. An example for the words could be Mother’s Name, Diaper, or Cute.

We also played the baby food jar game. You remove all labels from the baby food jars, and number them with sharpies. The guest have to write down what food they think each number is by tasting and smelling what is in the jars.

HELLO. HOW are you? Im not due until Sept. And I lo e these decorations. I was wondering though if it could be made in yellow and also have tigers and lions in it? I’m willing to pay for the extra decor ideas. Thank you for your time.
